North Dakota Agricultural Commissioner Doug Goehring says there are more applicators than usual applying dicamba this year. So far, he has made no updates to state guidelines. Spraying is still progressing as normal. “If you’re just going in and doing a burn down and there are no beans that are up, this is pre-emerge and you can use dicamba product. Once those beans are up, you need to be using in a post application the three labeled products for producers to apply on those dicamba tolerant soybeans from BASF, DuPont and Monsanto.” Goehring says it’s important to fully understand the product guidelines (read the label) before you apply.
