South Dakota’s winter wheat harvest started about one week ago. South Dakota Wheat Commission Executive Director Reid Christopherson is expecting a decent crop. “If we can continue to dodge hail threats, we’ve had some vulnerability to severe weather threats in the last few weeks, but many producers are reporting it could be one of the best winter wheat crops they’ve ever had.”
