North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong signed HB 1318, a bill that would secure the continued access to essential crop protection tools for farmers across North Dakota. “This bill simply says the law is the law, that labeling, that process is not,” said North Dakota Corn Growers Association Executive Director Brenda Elmer. “It helps clean up some confusion on proper labeling. There are states like California that have over a thousand products that would not need to add additional labels. That’s what this bill does: it clears up a lot of the misunderstandings about pesticide labeling without affecting somebody’s ability to sue.”
