Minnesota farmers plan to increase corn, spring wheat, and sugar beet acreage while reducing soybean plantings in 2025, according to USDA projections. Corn acreage is expected to rise by 400,000 acres to 8.6 million, while spring wheat is projected at 1.26 million acres, up 40,000 from last year. Sugar beet plantings are set to increase by 21,000 acres to 432,000. Meanwhile, soybean acreage is expected to decline by 400,000 acres to 7 million.
