FFA ‘a Perfect Fit’ for Civics Seal Proposal

A proposal in the Minnesota Legislature is gaining traction that would create special recognition on a student’s diploma for civic engagement. A dozen other states already have a ‘civic seal’ program. Minnesota FFA Foundation Executive Director Val Aasvold said this bill is in the wheelhouse of the FFA. “As soon as we found out about it on the FFA side we knew that it was a perfect fit because we’re all about developing that student to be a public speaker, to work through parliamentary procedure and to engage their elected officials.” The bill has bipartisan support.
