Ag Trade Deficit

During the Congressional session at Dakotafest, Senator John Thune spoke about the trade deficit. “We run trade deficits in this country but never in agriculture,” said Thune. “Last year we ran about a $17 billion ag trade deficit.” Johnson also pointed out that the Biden administration’s trade agreements have not advanced as other administrations have in the past.
