USDA is expanding its financial assistance package for dairy farmers dealing with H5N1. For the first time, this support includes help for dairy farmers whose herds have not tested positive for the virus but want to take preventative measures. This includes money for biosecurity planning and implementation and reimbursement for veterinary costs for testing and shipping costs.
