In the latest Pioneer Agronomy Update, Pioneer Field Agronomist Kristie Sundeen says the weather has been nice, but the biggest limiting factor for planting progress has been the intermittent rains across the region. “If we can get four or five days of clear skies, I expect most growers can finish up corn by the end of the week,” said Sundeen. “Some growers may have had corn planted in late April and early May, growers should see those fields already emerging.” Sundeen offers a look at GDU’s for her area.
