With cool soil conditions and the off-and-on again showers, there are questions about tightening up maturities. In the latest Pioneer Agronomy Update, Pioneer Field Agronomist Larry Lunder has the answer. “In data collected from 2012 to 2023 would say do not switch.” Lunder cites a comprehensive study that found the best planting date for yield ranged from May 10 to May 20 with no yield dropoff until after May 20.” Listen to the update.
