National Association of Wheat Growers President Keef Felty continues to focus on the farm bill with crop insurance being the primary concern. “Keeping it whole and functional because it is the cornerstone of our safety net in production agriculture so that’s our number one priority.” Another ask is an increase in the ARC and PLC reference prices. “They’ve been at these levels since they were introduced two farm bills ago and in the current economic climate they’re insufficient at this point.” Felty was in Fargo and Grand Forks this past week for the Bayer Leadership Program.
