Belchim Crop Protection USA President and General Manager Tom Wood sees Cercospora Leaf Sot and resistant Kochia as priorities for the company. “Sugarbeets are very important to us,” Wood told RRFN. “We’ve expanded our label for SpinAid, which most people remember with the phenmedipham active ingredient.” Belchim has exclusive distribution rights for Minerva fungicide. “That’s one of the chemistries that we want to preserve for sugarbeets. A tetraconazole formulation is the preferred choice for one of the sprays in your disease prevention program. It is a systemic fungicide that protects the whole plant, even protects new growth, is an excellent tank mix partner and proven by universities and producers alike.” Belchim Crop Protection sponsored a live broadcast from the International Sugarbeet Institute in Grand Forks on Wednesday.
