American Crystal Sugar Company wrapped up its sugarbeet harvest Wednesday. General Agronomist Joe Hastings said the crop was a record-setter. “For tons harvested, it’s going to be a record at around 12.7 million tons per acre; it looks like the recoverable sugar per acre is going to be a record, too and and we had very low loss to molasses for our quality. We had very high sugars as well, not a record, but very, very good.”
