The cattle market have been surging. “We did outpace the new record high this year in the mid $180’s,” said Katelyn McCullock, director, Livestock Marketing Information Center. The demand for boxed beef has come down from its summer high. “We saw an early peak in July, but things have cooled down since then”. McCullock projects the market to soften a bit more before the holiday demand season bumps fed cattle prices through the rest of the year.
