Most of the spring wheat across South Dakota is heading. South Dakota Wheat Commission Executive Director Reid Christopherson is seeing a wide range of conditions. “The crop is generally characterized by being a little bit short and a little bit thin in areas that were stressed by lack of rainfall. There’s some other areas where the rains did fall and it’s not going to be a bumper crop but I think it’s going to have potential.”
