The North Dakota Stockmen’s Association hosted its feedlot tour near Wing and Goodrich Tuesday. Chairman Alan Heim said the NDSA Feeder Council does its best to represent the cattle feeding industry. “There’s been some growth in feedlots in the state and we have the feed resources in the state to retain cattle for backgrounding.” Even from a legislative standpoint, there’s been a push for more animal agriculture in the state. “There’s value in manure and fertilizer, it’s another whole industry within the industry.”
