The House did not get the necessary two-thirds majority to overturn President Joe Biden’s veto dealing with the Waters of the United States rule. Congress tried to undo the revised WOTUS rule, but that was met with a presidential veto. Meanwhile, the administration cannot implement or enforce the rule in 26 states, including North Dakota and South Dakota, due to two different court rulings. The fate of the WOTUS rule is also being reviewed by the U.S. Supreme Court.
