Oedekoven Accepts Pork Checkoff Job

Dusty Oedekoven is leaving his post as South Dakota’s state veterinarian and executive secretary for the South Dakota Animal Industry Board. Oedekoven will take over as the chief veterinarian for the National Pork Board. The Pork Checkoff has also announced Patrick Webb has been promoted to the assistant chief veterinarian role. Brett Kaysen, who has been the Pork Checkoff’s senior vice president of sustainability, is now its senior vice president of producer and state engagement.
