Over the weekend, West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin said he can not support the $2 trillion Build Back Better bill. The Russell Group President Randy Russell says there are two issues with this proposal; “what’s going on with the inflation rate and the true price tag.” The legislation includes $27 billion in conservation funding for agriculture. “If passed, this would be a major new infusion of conservation funding and it would be built into the baseline of the farm bill.”
