President Joe Biden was scheduled to visit a dairy farm northwest of Madison, Wisconsin on Tuesday with Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. However, the plan changed and Biden traveled to LaCrosse, Wisconsin to promote the infrastructure bill. In addition to roads and bridges, the president highlighted the investment in broadband. “No farmer here in Wisconsin should lose business because they don’t have reliable connection to internet; know when to buy, know when to sell and know what’s going on.” Biden compared the current move to broadband to the expansion of rural electrification in 1936.
