Farmers and agricultural businesses are gearing up for the 2021 planting season, which does include weed control strategies. Southern Minnesota-based Corteva Enlist technology specialist Steve Synder says there will be more soybean varieties with E3 traits next year. “They launched in 2019, so this was the second year with limited seed available. For the coming year, all the Corteva seed brands and over 100 licensees are adding Enlist traits.” A few years ago, resistant weeds were becoming a major problem for Forman, North Dakota farmer Luke Anderson. That’s why the idea of the Enlist soybeans stacked with three traits was appealing. Anderson upped his Enlist acres this year and is thankful the technology will be available in 2021. “These are weeds that just wouldn’t give up. We’re planting 100 percent Enlist acres on our farm in 2021 and am excited to diversify chemistries a little more.” Get the full story.
