The demand for grain drying this year is not expected to be as large as last year. Cenex Senior Account Manager Dallas Engel says the domestic U.S. propane inventories will be close to an all-time high. “Last year, the issue was logistics; I don’t think there enough trucks in the United States to keep up with the demand we saw in the Upper Midwest.” Strong communication between the farmer and the retailer is recommended to prepare for grain drying. “This summer, we’ve seen a lot more on-farm storage and larger tanks being put on getting ready for this fall.”
