Farmers in the St. Thomas, North Dakota area are preparing for potato harvest. Allen Tucker has desiccated his fresh potatoes and will harvest the crop this week. “We had some damaging rains in June and potatoes don’t like to stand in water. As a result, we lost some acres in fields and we have some stressed potatoes on all of our fields. However, the majority of our acres pulled through nicely. We think we’ll have average to above average potato yields.”
