The Canadian Parliament Commerce Trade Committee will finish its hearings on the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement by the end of the month, allowing the ratification process to move forward. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party does not have a majority in the House of Commons and needed the support of at least one other party to ratify the trade deal. The New Democratic Party joined the Liberals to advance the new NAFTA agreement.
