BASF Technical Marketing Manager Darren Unland says there could be more weed seed in fields this spring. Having a good herbicide program can help. “This includes the use of pre-emergent herbicides using multiple modes of action as well as planned and timely post-emergent applications,” says Unland. “With that much weed pressure we have more at risk and Mother Nature may throw challenges at us.” Unland says if there is more flooding in spring, weed management plans will change. “We would recommend farmers do what they can with the options available.
