On the day President Trump signed the USMCA, Canadian lawmakers began the ratification process for the same trade deal. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government is in the minority and will need help from others to pass the updated trade agreement. Trudeau said he hoped it will move through parliament “responsibly and rapidly.”
