Cattlemen Request Marfrig Foods Investigation

The U.S. Cattlemen’s Association has submitted a request to U.S. Treasury Steven Mnuchin for an investigation of Marfrig Global Foods’ attempt to acquire American-based National Beef Packing Company. Recently, the Brazilian-owned food company raised its stake in National Beef Packing from 51 percent to 81.7 percent.
