The USDA Risk Management Agency is updating crop insurance policies for sugarbeet growers. Key changes include a revision of the early harvest adjustment to better reflect a unit’s production capabilities, adding procedures to allow third-part testing of sugarbeets for raw sugar content and a procedure to determine whether damaged sugarbeet production has or doesn’t have salvage value.
