Impeachment is taking the oxygen out of Washington D.C., but Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley told reporters he’s not sure how it will impact the progress of biodiesel tax credit. “We’ve been negotiating in good faith. Four corner negotiations (with lawmakers) have been going on for five or six weeks,” said Grassley. “The good news is there’s still good feelings between the group that a compromise can be worked out, but if you ask me if we’ll have a biodiesel tax credit passed before Christmas, all I can say is I hope so.” Grassley said the same thing one year ago. Currently, the agreements aren’t in place for a bipartisan package. “Once there’s a bipartisan package put together, it can be added to an end of the year must-pass bill, which most often is the omnibus appropriations bill.”
