Martinson Ag Risk Management President Randy Martinson says spring wheat harvest progress and crop quality is supporting the spring wheat market. “Snows on Thursday over portions of North Dakota, most of Montana and Canada is causing a little more concern. As far as the U.S. is concerned, we’re close to one million acres to harvest,” said Martinson. “That’s helping push the Minneapolis market. Quality is definitely going down hill.” Martinson thinks spring wheat harvest in the Northern Plains is virtually done. “Adjustments need to be made to the harvesting numbers. A resurvey number could come in November.”
