Renewable Fuel Negotiations Continue

Negotiations continue between President Trump, lawmakers and the biofuels industry. Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley says he’s been involved with the reallocation of waived ethanol. “I thought it would be done by now.” Grassley says he is optimistic a compromise can be worked out. “This is a 40-year battle, since we’ve had ethanol, fighting big oil. Maybe someone in the White House thinks they should put attention on small refineries. When this started 20 months ago, the reason was because we had 80 cent RIN certificates. They’re down now. What’s the problem today?”
