Del Monte Foods is closing down its pea and corn plant at Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. Del Monte’s parent company, which is based in Singapore, is also permanently closing facilities in Illinois, Wisconsin and Texas. Del Monte has been operating the processing plant in Sleepy Eye since 1930.
