USMCA: Waiting on the White House

Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley met with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to discuss the progress of the U.S. Mexico Canada Agreement. Grassley told reporters the meeting was positive. The House is waiting on the White House. “They can’t tell us anything, because the White House hasn’t set it up,” says Grassley. “I’m glad Speaker Pelosi would meet with me. There’s a real commitment with working together. I’m standing ready to help.” Grassley isn’t certain if the agreement can be ratified by August recess. He says it depends when the White House sends the USMCA to Congress.
