A few farmers in west central North Dakota are starting spring fieldwork. NDSU Extension – Mercer County agent Craig Askim says spring wheat and peas are being planted. Soil temperatures are cool and moisture is adequate. “We’re okay so far. If temperatures warm up to the 70s, we’ll be dry again,” says Askim. “We’re probably okay for the next ten days.”
