The University of Minnesota has seen an influx of funding through the Agricultural Research, Education, Extension and Technology Transfer program. Extension Dean Bev Durgan says additional faculty has been hired for Extension, the College of Food, Agriculture and Natural Resource Sciences and Veterinary Medicine. “We are really unique; there are no other universities that are able to hire and we will over 20 faculty hired within three years.” Through the AGREETT program, the University of Minnesota can focus on specific mission areas, like nitrogen management.
