As of Thursday, South Dakota’s Farm Service Agency says there are 1,230 Market Facilitation Program applications on file. Total payments given to South Dakota farmers are more than $3.16 million. State FSA Executive Director Paul Shubeck explains the corn and beans are yet to be completely harvested. “Dairy, swine and wheat are available for payment.” The MFP payment is based on 2018 production levels (bushels for crop farmers).
