North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has awarded 25 specialty crop grants, valued at more than $3 million. The projects funded include $226,000 for North Dakota State University to study rust resistance in dry beans and $120,000 for the National Sunflower Association to accelerate breeding for disease resistance in confection sunflowers.
