Corn and soybeans going in the ground in south-central North Dakota. Scott German farms near Oakes and says it’s been of tale of two crops. Some farmers are getting close to the end of the planting season and others are just getting started. “We’re wrapping up some odds and ends now,” says German. “Rains slowed us up for a day, but we’re able to get some pre-emerge down.” Early planted corn is starting to emerge in the area. “A half inch of rain would be nice at this point. We’re in pretty good shape down here.”
