State Farm Bureau presidents participated in a conference call with the majority staff from the Senate and House agriculture committees. Minnesota Farm Bureau President Kevin Paap says it is clear Senate Chairman Pat Roberts won’t move anything out of the agriculture committee that will divide committee members or commodities. “We heard from Chairman Conaway’s office they’re continuing to work on the process of getting the votes,” said Paap. “There are concerns about some of the amendments.” Paap says there will be activity on the farm bill on a daily basis moving forward.
