North Dakota Agricultural Commissioner Doug Goehring says the state is trying to find solutions to the Electronic Logging Device problem. They’ve potentially found one solution. That’s adjusting the distance to the ELD rule. Goehring wants to double the 150-mile radius. “We are a very mobile society. The reality is we don’t produce our own products locally. No one state does. That means we rely on transportation to access points where we’re picking up supplies, parts, equipment and we need more flexibility in that. We don’t need to hinder our ability to access that and move it.”
