Now is the time for farmers to be evaluating their weed control plans for the 2018 growing season. Maverick Ag agronomist Mark Rohrich, based in Ashley, North Dakota, tell farmers to stick with the plan they had going into the season. “Especially in no-till, get out there and address the weeds before it’s a big problem. Take a hard look at whether you should apply a pre or burndown before seeding,” says Rohrich. “When it comes to dicamba acres, not everything is going to come fast, especially if someone else is applying the herbicide. The wind, the weather, the day, the hour all have an impact.”
