Minnesota Farmers Union Director of Government Relations Thom Petersen thinks Governor Dayton could be
supportive of the proposed tax credit for buffers.
“Actually, Governor Dayton had originally proposed something similar two years ago. I think Representative Anderson’s bill would be a $50 per acre credit. Governor Dayton at one time had proposed a $40 per acre credit. I’m trying to remind them of that. It does cost money.”
